Chris was using a support service to find work. One of his barriers to sustainable employment was his mental wellbeing. While he was initially reluctant to take up the offer of further support from Reed Wellbeing, because he didn’t think it would work, Chris got stuck in.
Once Chris learned more about what he could gain from the service, he said, “This sounded like something I had been looking for for years, so I agreed to take part."
Chris was able to access personal support with Claire, his a Reed Wellbeing Health Coach, and booked him onto wellbeing group sessions on Microsoft Teams.
Claire started working one-to-one with Chris to help him achieve his goals and he also participated in online workshops with other coaches.
My Wellbeing coach, Claire, along with the three coaches that took the three online workshops have all been exemplary. They’ve all understood my issues and were able to inject some well-needed positivity into me, along with motivation to get the help I needed.
Chris has been engaging well with both the 1:1 and group aspects of our support and has benefited from sessions tailored to support individuals to improve their anxiety, sleep, and stress symptoms.
As Chris put into practice the new techniques he’d learned, he said, "I feel more positive and now believe I can cope better with the anxiety and stress I have been under for a long time.”
